
Bluegreen Vacation Club has been in the timeshare industry since 1966, and provides access for over 45 owned or managed resorts. This flexible form of vacation ownership allows owners a spectacular home away from home with spacious floor plans and high-end amenities. The resorts often include amenities such as swimming pools, tennis courts, Jacuzzis, spas, fitness facilities, and planned children's activities. With Bluegreen, owners purchase a number of points that can be redeemed for any resort location, unit size, or time period desired. These points are deeded to a specific resort and are considered deeded real estate interest. Vacations at each resort and in each unit size have pre-determined points values, and points can be borrowed from the next years usage to make a larger reservation. Owners may reserve at their home resort twelve months out for greater availability.
Owners are responsible for paying annual maintenance fees and club dues to their HOA or Timeshare Homeowners Association. These fees pay for onsite management, unit upkeep and refurbishing, and the utilities and maintenance of the resort. Maintenance fees and club dues are billed yearly during the month of your original purchase. Resorts are located all over, in specific beach, golf, ski, or historic areas. Depending on the number of points owned, owners may be a part of Premier Ownership. Owners with over 15,000 annual points are Bronze Premier, over 20,000 points are Silver Premier, 35,000 points are Gold Premier, and 60,000 points are Platinum Premier. Premier owners enjoy additional benefits such as a priority wait list, advanced access to Shell Vacation Club through 'Select Connections', no fees for cancellation or modification of reservations, free stays at Bluegreen Resorts during Blue and White seasons, villa upgrades, extending vacations by three nights subject to availability, exchange company upgrades, and the option to using points to pay maintenance fees and club dues.
Bluegreen Vacation Club is affiliated with the exchange company, RCI, and membership is included in the club dues. RCI provides access to over 3,700 worldwide resorts. Owners reserve a desirable week using Bluegreen points, and turn these into RCI points by depositing them, then make reservations easily through RCI's system. Bluegreen also can be exchanged through Interval International.
